It's so hard to believe that Shan Bryan-Hanson Studio + Gallery is at its one year anniversary and beginning its second season!

For those new to my work, I'm an artist living on the beautiful Door County Peninsula, in the fabulous small city of Sturgeon Bay. We have a growing and thriving art scene in Sturgeon Bay so if you want to visit quite a few galleries within easy walking distance of each other, Sturgeon Bay should definitely be on your Door County list.

I'm told over and over again that photos don't really tell the whole story of my art. For better or worse, my art is not really made for the Instagram age. It's got a lot of detail that is hard to capture on camera. Art is always better in person! In fact, in the time of AI, the material object matters more than ever. We humans need beauty, and texture, and color that is not digital.
