Layering Paper

I’m working on a new piece and took a few photos to demonstrate how I layer paper to create varied opacities in my drawings.

In this photo my hand is over two layers of paper but only the top one will be part of the finished work. The bottom layer is a hand-made template I created as a pattern guide for where I draw the bees.

In this photo, my hand is under both layers of paper. As paper is layered, parts of the drawing become more opaque.
