Burnt Orange Paint and French Knots

Strands, gouache and thread on Yupo paper

This painting is a companion to the blue one in my last post, but instead of blue it is made with burnt sienna. It also has several strands of French knots embroidered over the paint.

This color is both earth and fire, stability and transformation.
